Description

Sharp toothed nodding aster is the “other” species of wood aster besides Eurybia. Often found growing singly or in loose colonies, this woodland species has spectacular white ray flowers often tinged in pink. It grows in full shade to part sun, deciduous or coniferous forests, well drained loamy to sandy soils in upland habitats. Flowers in later summer. Leaves form distinctive whorls. Not commonly available in the trade, these are grown from seed collected in Waterboro, ME. Grown right here at Native Haunts!
