Description
- Splendid clusters of bright red berries come out in late June, just about the same time that black elderberry is just getting into flower. Red elderberry grows to about the same dimensions as black elder does, but it grows in different habitats. I find it growing in the full shade of the woods, often times in rocky, well drained soils. I also sometimes see it growing in nearly full sun on gravelly roadsides in northern Maine. These are organically grown plants from seed.
Just potted up as of late April 2024 with great root systems!
$40, 5 gallon pots, 18″ high
