Description
“What a well behaved goldenrod! Would like to come live in MY garden?” Yes. yes it would. Gray goldenrod has a distinctive short stature, not growing much more than a foot or two. There’s no rowdiness here; it does not spread by underground rhizomes and maintains distinctive, compact, multi stemmed clumps. Does well in those hot dry areas in fields, roadsides, and gardens with full sun and average to poor soil. Blooms in August. Looks good growing along side Little Bluestem Grass.
